The National Junior Honor Society recognizes outstanding academic achievement of students. Membership is based on performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and citizenship. An overall 94 percent grade average in all core subjects and religion is required as well as favorable teacher recommendations. NJHS members participate in service projects for the school and community. Members are cooperative, demonstrate high standards of honesty and reliability, and show courtesy, concern, and respect for others. Invitations are extended to middle school students who qualify.
