Celebrating the First Member of the St. Joseph Legacy Society
St. Francis Xavier Catholic School is proud to recognize Frances Riviere as the first member of the St. Joseph Legacy Society!

Frances and her husband, Francis, made St. Simons Island their home in the 1990s following his retirement. Lifelong Catholics and parishioners of St. William Catholic Church, the Rivieres made faith and generosity an important part of their lives.
A former nurse, Frances long understood the importance of caring for others. Throughout the years, she generously supported organizations such as Sacred Heart Southern Missions and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting her belief in the importance of giving back and serving those in need.
When considering the legacy she wished to leave, Frances chose to include St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in her long-term plans, helping ensure that future generations of children will have the opportunity to grow in faith and knowledge. Her decision reflects a philosophy of generosity that she has carried throughout her life. As her family shared, “It's a matter of virtue that you grow in spirit by giving away more.”

The St. Joseph Legacy Society honors the Sisters of St. Joseph, who founded St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in 1900, and recognizes those who have made a planned gift to help carry their mission forward.
We are deeply grateful to Frances for leading the way as our first Legacy Society member. Her generosity is a beautiful reminder that a legacy is not simply what we leave behind, but the faith, values, and opportunities we make possible for generations to come.
