Mission and Beliefs

Mission Statement:

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School is a Christ-centered school built on a strong foundation of Gospel values, empowering all to lead faith-filled lives.

Beliefs:

Inspired by the Gospel of Matthew - 24:32 "Let the fig tree teach you a lesson." Academically, the Xavier student enriches their mental abilities, articulates views orally and visually, becomes technologically sound, and evaluates objectives and solutions.

Inspired by the Gospel of Mark - 1:17 "Follow me." Globally, the Xavier student develops self guided discipline and dignity, discovers cultural respect, participates in serving others and raises consciousness of social justice.

Inspired by the Gospel of Luke - 24:29 "Stay with us." Physically, the Xavier student gains insight to cooperative participation, experiences self-improvement, and develops a keen sense of sportsmanship in competition.

Inspired by the Gospel of John - 20:19 "Peace be with you." Spiritually, the Xavier student models love of God, appreciates the value of prayer in their lives, and lives out their faith in Church, family, and society.

The St. Francis Xavier Catholic School mission is grounded in Catholic beliefs. Students have the ability to discover, practice, serve, and examine social justice and diversity. Education, from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, empowers students to develop self-responsibility and self-improvement. Through the highs and lows of a decade of education, students cultivate strengths, understand disappointment, practice humility, discover cultural respect, evaluate consciences, and receive encouragement from the Gospel. Throughout the journey, the school strives to give students the skills, moral values, motivations, and confidences needed to assume their roles as future leaders of families, the Church, and the community.
